About the new ‘rotation’ feature in latest beta (for those who didn’t notice, now is a setting per item in the + tab)

The rotation of the items don’t take into account the orientation of the desktop, only the device one. What I mean: in a mobile phone: (if you want to test with a tablet change portrait<->landscape in the next paragraph.)

With the rotation of the items checked:

1)If you set the desktop orientation to portrait lock, all works well

2)If you set the desktop orientation to landscape lock, all the items are rotated 90° by default (exactly as the mobile phone is, not the desktop)

3) If you set the desktop orientation to gyro … rotation party! 😀 Well, the items are rotated as if the mobile was at that position added to the desktop rotation. If you put your mobile upside down…the items will be upside down (they will be to you, but not to the mobile because 180+180=360 …. O.o …. just try it)

Also I want to ask…will you add an option in the future to choose the angle of rotation? Is it somewhere I didn’t found? Anyway it’s a good addition, I liked it thanks!

Also regarding the rotation step this is what I wanted to do, but I faced a technical issue:the launcher animates the rotation between angle changes, using a single animator context. If an angle can be selected per item, each item need to have it’s own rotation animation context, which is something I overlooked.

Pierre Hébert And an angle for all? In general settings, or even in desktop settings if possible…I still want to know what will happen with 1° … (but don’t get forced)
