It’s a bug in Android. I forget which version it started in – I think 4.1. Something about the way third party paid launchers (and keyboards) load after the system which ends up resetting the default because the former default app wasn’t available to load yet. I know I butchered that explanation, but it’s a known issue.

This is the only Launcher that I’ve seen it happen on and I have had pretty much all of them so how can it be blamed on a bug in Android

If the launcher is free and the pro key is separate, it doesn’t happen. If the launcher is a fully paid app is when it happens. I’ll have to see if I can find the original link to the problem later, unless someone else has it handy. I had this problem constantly on my old phone once it was upgraded to Jellybean.

I’ve had the paid version to about every popular Launcher and again this is the only Launcher…. But really, even though a slight nuisance it really isn’t that big of deal.. JMHO

There is a launcher selector app on the market. I forget the name of it but it was discussed in this comunity about a week ago. It should fix your problem.

Found the issue again. Search Google for “encryption bug Jelly bean paid apps” and you’ll find plenty of articles about it. However, I also see that it looks like Google disabled the offending feature. I still have this issue with my launcher (on a GS4), but not with my paid keyboard. Maybe there is a new issue, but similar…

I’m on 4.1.1 and several launcher have this problem. Jelly Bean Launcher Loader fixes the problem if it is set up properly. If it doesn’t than I expect something else is causing the problem.

If your playing with 3rd party lock screens like magic locker they may need to be set as default home. Through magic locker you select Lightning launcher.
Come to think of it even if your not using magic locker usung it max fix your problem.
