Is it bug or new function? (8.8.4)
customize lightning/current desktop or app drawer/wallpaper and background/change desktop wallpaper (LL)/choose something…
Now is visible wallpaper in background (black background disappear) in customize lightning/current desktop or app drawer/ all option in settings.

Seems to be a new function, but it’s this time not a good decsion in my opinion. can we deactivate this please ?
if you have light backgrounds it not practible.

Unfortunately this is not intentional 🙁 It depends on the theme in use and it seems that sometimes variations in list and window backgrounds produces undesirable effects…
I will try to fix this.
