this is because of how the packs written to see the icons set the first spinner to application. If your on Oreo it won’t work though its broke.

    I’m on MIUI 9.5/Android Nougat.

Try selecting the photo (not camera) tab on top of your screen, tap the ‘hamburger’ at top left.https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Eqp1bkMGqNmaxuktAjziyrw-OG0j3n3vM7LLJTcIido432_YtkwVYfbpZv8oW-nf924vQQLQZg

On the next screen, scroll down through photo locations. You may find your icon packs listed there, allowing you to select icons.

Let me know if this works for you. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/zA6f4rpK1NNUsPk2EDkYA2MQMMtsW3xY-jRPfvSzIj2bgREefrmoaWlrmQo9zhfcy3hufyO2PA

Happens to me too. Seems like most icon packs that updated their dashboards are doing this.

    Your solution works.

    Thanks a ton.

Just because of this issue I had switched to Nova. Now I’m back to LL.
