Galaxy S5 and LLX Lock Screen Problem:-

Galaxy S5 and LLX Lock Screen Problem:-

Can anyone who uses LLX lock screen and a Galaxy S5 tell me if you have the same problem please ?

Phone PIN code set to off.

Press home or on button to light phone up.

Lock screen appears.

Don’t unlock.

Press soft key to show the “Recent Apps” list.

Select one of the recent apps off the list i.e. gmail,

once in this app, press the back button.

You are now NOT returned to the lock screen but to the Home page on the desktop.

Press button to turn off phone.

THE LOCK SCREEN IS NOW DISABLED.

Press home or on button – no lock screen any more.

You then have to press the home button whilst on the home desktop in order to make the lock screen work again, otherwise it is permanently disabled.

NOTE- if you have a PIN code set, this wont happen, as the PIN security disables the “Recent Apps” list.

Thanks

Nigel

I have an issue that has been giving me a locking sound when I go into an app from the recent apps list (I dont recall noticing this anywhere else) and when it happens my home and back buttons disappear entirely. it’s been that way since the tasker integration. . I was trying to create a secure llx lockscreen that uses a pin except with a twist…. and the twist being that while on normal occasions when you unlock the llx lockscreen you still need to enter the pin in my case just unlocking the llx lockscreen unlocks the device. . but that created a different problem…….. turning the screen on caused a blackout and by this I mean I turn the screen on and the screen immediately turns off again. . to fix this I had to reboot and then immediately go into tasker and turn off and delete the profile and then reboot 2 more times to make sure the stem wouldn’t blackout again

Humm, maybe the app doesn’t detect that the device is “unlocked” when launching an app from the recent apps list.

On my devices the recent apps button is hidden 🙁

I have done some further tests. Not really drawn any conclusions though:-

On the S5, they moved the recent apps feature to a soft key, so it is now very accessible and useable. You can’t configure it via the S5 to disable it unless you are rooted. I aren’t rooted. However, it is actually a really useable feature now.

What I have noticed is, if you have apps on your lock screen, and you select one, when you quit the app, it will return to the lock screen. That’s good.

However, when you select an app via Recent Apps, it returns to the LLX home screen instead of the lock screen.

I decided to play with some gesture settings and changed the “Screen off” from Unset to Do Nothing (Lock). This seemed to work for a short while then it all went wrong again.

I deleted LLX, restored it, and it worked again for a short while, then it came back.

So it almost looks as if something is over-riding it at some point.

When it fails, it never starts to work again.

One funny thing. I have on my home screen a button to load the app drawer.

If I select an app from Recent apps, and when I quit the app, if it returns to the desktop instead of the lock screen, I know the lock screen has now been disabled. However, and this is bizarre, if I click on the app drawer button, and then back out of the app drawer, everything starts to work ok.

on my device the only way to hide the recent apps list is to use a system pin password or face unlock and I found that if I didn’t wanna use the system lock the only way to make the recent apps list inaccessible is to use widget locker. so I thought I’d get Smart and use tasker to try and mimic the functionality of widget locker and this went wrong real fast

IS there any way you can think of that I can get around this by using a script or similar that I can attach to the screen on or screen off event, to ensure the lock screen is always presented ? Any hack/workaround would be great, as it catches me out that much that I hardly see my lock screen 😉
