Could it be because of stop points? If you are in free mode, and two of them are almost in the same line you need to swipe twice, one for each stop point.
Let me know if you can identify the problem precisely. Indeed it may have something to do with stop points. Using the latest beta is preferred regarding stop points, as it fixes several little bugs
