Something’s up with the app drawer.

Something’s up with the app drawer.  At first, I thought I was going crazy, but I’ve had some more time to play with it.  Currently using LLX 8.8.6 – mecure (r1257), but I believe this started at least one update before that version

Any time I try to launch an app that is already running from the app drawer, LL just returns me to my home page.  If I have a shortcut on my homescreen and try to relaunch the app from there, it works fine.  If I relaunch the app from Android’s recent apps list (long press home), then the app launches fine.  If I kill the app from the recent apps list and then try to launch from the app drawer, then the app launches fine.

Weird… after I went into Customer Lightning to get my version, the issue stopped happening.  Has anyone else experienced this issue?  Maybe I am going crazy after all…

Just updated to 8.8.7 and the problem returned.  Pierre Hébert hopefully this isn’t too hard to track down.  I used the app drawer quite a bit as I don’t like a cluttered desktop.

No problem here. I’m the last guy running gingerbread, btw.

Eh this works on GB I’m surprised at that I thought because of the way the screen slides when editing to show the preview was only possible on the newer Android versions.

Jay M, yes that is only possible on ics+, but Mike Wyzlic said that part worked fine. It was the running apps in the app drawer that he said just returned him to his home screen.

I couldn’t reproduce it, but I know the cause of the problem. Do you have any hint on when the problem start to appear ?

I first noticed it a couple of days ago. It was either on 8.8.6 or the update right before that since several came out recently. I figured it was just my phone being quirky at first, but after a couple of reboots it was still happening. Then I had some time to test some scenarios to help pin point the issue. It is a little sporadic, but happens more often than not lately.

Mine does it immediately. Did a full off/on. Got a notification from your message. Opened it from notifications. Hit home after reading. Went to app drawer. Hit g+. Got send to home. (not to g+)
