The Last Changes (8.6b1) regarding stop-points is working bad. sorry to say that but before it works better and smoother.
1. i had to change my last layout “heartbeat” and need to add new stop points ok, that not the big thing. but
2. it overscrolls on the right side what it didn’t before
3. scrolling/swiping was much smoother before ;-(((
often if have to swipe twice ;-((( because of point 2?
another thing is the option to show stop point.
why it is general an not per desktop?
addition:
i made a testdesktop and a video

Hi Gerd, sorry for the problem. There are two things that you can do however:
– remove the stop points on the left and right side : both are useless because this is already the end of the desktop, and since they are included in the desktop size, they extend a bit the area. This explain why you can go a bit beyond your last item.
– if you need to swipe twice, this might be because the default is now to stop scroll and drag. Previously it was only scroll. Hence if you long tap on a stop point, select customize and uncheck “Stop drag”, then I think you will get the behaviour you need.
Regarding the scroll, if it is not smooth anymore then I would rather think it comes from something else because checking stop points is really cheap in terms of CPU. Did you notice a change in the last version only or do you think this may come from an older version ?
The option to show stop point is for all desktops because this is a debug option. In normal use, stop points should be hidden. This is not really a customizing option, hence I put it on the higher level settings screen.

Gustavo Luis Soto i have fit desktop to items checked. and two stop points. on the right and the left side of page 1 (center). each stop point only stop scroll checked NOT stop drag (long tap on the stop point > customize).

you may not need a stop point on either side of th screen edge, if they are not perfectly lined up you will need two scrolls to get passed them if stop drag is set, so you could do this with one stop point on one edge left right, right left, and one on each widget top to bottom, bottom to top. then you can probably enable stop drag.
