Hi there. This is my first post here, so I’m very sorry if I posted this plausible bug in a wrong place.
The “Expand notification tray” action does not work on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. I have created a shortcut to the LL action to test it, but it doesn’t do anything.
Can anybody help me with this?

This has been mentioned a few times the action works but Samsung have made changes to their ROM which breaks this you will have the same problem in other launchers.

it effects every Sammy device on Lollipop+ I think.

This also affects hiding the status bar. Seems like some one said it works in nova, but I may be wrong.
Anyway, maybe you can make a shortcut to the stock launcher to make it work?
May need one of those apps that exposes and makes available ALL shortcuts.

I have also bought Nova and I do not have the issue there. I could try to launch Nova’s notification expand action.
I still see this as a bug I LL then.
My Galaxy is running stock Samsung android version 6.0.1

I have also tried Total launcher and it can also expand the notification tray…

I have Secure Settings and Tasker app installed. Will try to make a workaround…

From what I read Nova is using a workaround you have to enable its accessibility service to get it to work. Total Launcher probably uses the same thing. Samsung always seem to mess with things they don’t need to be messing with.

Pierre has stated in the past, that Samsung uses a non-public method for this.

I can confirm that Nova is using the accessibility service to achieve it.
Could we get LL to do the same?

No, sorry, I don’t have a Samsung device to test the feature.

I could develop it and provide you with the source code?

The autoinput Tasker plugin has a open notifications action, this might work both apps are free for 7 days so give it a bash.

Thanks Kenneth Øst but that wouldn’t help much. The base code isn’t really an issue, but its integration inside the launcher requires tedious trials and errors.
