Adding a taptu widget when zoomed out creates a “massive widget”
Adding a taptu widget when zoomed out creates a “massive widget”
This might be a taptu issue but it’s behaviour is unexpected on llc.
To reproduce:
Install taptu
Add widget to desktop (while at 100 p) = all good and normal.
Pinch zoom out and repeat = jumbo sized widget.

Could you explain it a bit more? A screenshot will help.
Keep in mind that pinned widget don’t zoom out.

Right, I’m talking nonsense. Widgets appear to be created (for all things, not just taptu) at the size requested on the actual screen which is then drawn on the canvas of the desktop, which may be zoomed in or out.
For some reason i hadn’t noticed this behaviour before (probably me)
It does mean though that you could zoom in very close, add a widget/app/anything which at 100p effectively becomes invisible (very very small). Likewise in the opposite direction if you zoom out far enough and add “something” you get a jumbo all consuming button/widget/thing – those would be much easier to spot and remove.

Wow! It’s true!
Only happens in free mode.
It’s funny, because if you try to resize it, it become even bigger!
But it’s a bug. A funny and odd bug. Pierre Hébert need to know this.

Wait…Maybe is a feature…this will allow you to make ‘small’ and ‘big’ layouts in the same desktop……pierre did an apk theme with this.

that is possibly quite true, as i’m discovering LL is very flexible. my only minor gripe would be when you’ve created a super tiny “thing” on a desktop and then can’t find it again.
maybe a feature request would be some facility to display a list of all “things” that have been setup on a desktop, perhaps with a checkbox to remove them?

does the same thing with apw and dvr widgets…

TrianguloY yes exactly !!!
This is implemented this way since a few weeks because otherwise it is difficult to handle items size at different scale. And after all, it might seem odd at the beginning but in the end I find this more natural.

Try to install and enjoy Pierre’s Zoomer APK theme. It uses different zoom level for each page, however items in the same page are normally created in the same zoom level.
If we use LL’s shortcut for directing/moving/switching each pages, that shortcut remembers not only the page’s postion but also zoom level.
