I realized…why is not an option in LLX to kill all? (The same as go app by app in running apps killing them)

Because I think this is a bad idea 🙁 Even killing a single app is a bad idea because android does this way better than us. I will be very honest : there is a kill menu in LL but this only because I don’t want to be bothered anymore with feature requests for this.

From the engineer point of view, manually killing a app is a wrong thing.

Ok, I understand. (but sometimes it’s useful to kill directly an app if it’s a bit bugged, from the launcher or from android settings. I know some apps that doesn’t close when swiping in the recent list)

The problem is that a third party apps without root permission cannot stop an app the same way the system does, for instance the manage apps screen uses a different and private method

I know that the recent apps list is different, but: if you go to the android settings of an app(where the list of permissions are shown, the data used…) and press force close…it’s different than using kill feature of another app(for example LLX)?

I don’t rember your reason for not wanting to add root privlages to ll but some alternatives.

    1) make an ll addon that has root

    2) make a 3rd llxr version with root (pain in the long run with updating)

    3) users find 3rd party root apps to do root thingys.

    4) use the built in apps

Personally to kill apps I just long press the home button for a task manager thingy to pop up. I don’t see a need for ll to add something thats already so easy. At least on my samsung any ways.
