Add to Customize Lightning / General new option:
After install new app to phone not add automatically icon to destkop (yes/no).
I have set may desktop and after install new app google play add automatically to my desktop icon to wrong place. I think nova launcher have this option.

You can disable it from Google play.
But I like the idea to add it automatically from the launcher itself. Maybe a desktop/folder setting, so you can for example choose a folder to all the new apps.

In google play is only not add widget. Before i wrote above text, i looking to settings in google play (auto-add widgets – automatically add home screen widgets for new apps). GP build: 4.4.21
