Oh yes of course, but you will need another app which will know the number of new message, or new mail, or new call, etc…

For example Tasker, which allow you to count the notifications as they arrive, and then give the number of notifications to LL..

There are also predefined ones for sms, calls and gmail (add, badge)

shure, but not for whatsapp and, for example, “AquaMail”.

In Nova Launcher or in LG-Stock launcher  its built-in, thats the reason of my question

For AquaMail, it is a plugin for Tasker, to get more easily the new mails infos!

You can use “Floatify”. Search it in Google Play Store.

Sascha Roehrbein no this isn’t what he’s looking for.. He looks for little badge on top of the mail app (for exemple) with the count of new mails.

I know all these apps , such as Floatify . But my question is aimed at the developer why this feature is not implemented in Lightning Launcher ?… like for example in Nova Launcher. That would be much easier , instead to use 3.party apps ?

Because that will require to keep track of notifications, with new permissions and more version handling.

A separate app that do that and send the information to LL is the way to go.

Nova and others have it implemented, right, but check the apk size.
