Is it possible to implement something like this? You select two or more screens and say for example

– Screen1 7:00 – 9:00

– Screen2 9:00 – 20:00

– Screen3 20:00 – 7:00

And Lightning Launcher will switch screens at the selected hours.

Just an idea 😉

This would be a great feature to integrate into LL using Tasker. Use Tasker to track the time and integration to LL to switch the current time screen. Pierre hasn’t built in any Tasker integration yet, but I saw a post that suggests Tasker is on his roadmap.

Pretty sure you can still do it without specific integration.  I think you can do it with the Autoshortcut plugin.  Somehow you trigger the LL-Desktop&Position shortcut based on time.  I was playing around with it a little and seems like something that could be done.  I just don’t have the chops to figure it out yet.  You can definitely change the wallpaper based on time without extra plugins though, I just figured that one out.  Changes my wp every 15 minutes.

(It seems like there is some hype around invite code and launchers these days). Anyway, Bryan Raymond and Mike Wyzlic are both right. On one side there can be something like Tasker, and on the other side LL offers shortcuts (technically “Intents”) to drive some of its behavior. Now what is missing is more automation and a finer integration with Tasker in particular.

There’s an app made by Sony, “Smart connect”. You can make a function automatically trigger on assigned action or time. I checked if it works just now, and it did!

Kinda cool idea. Whoever has something working first with LL shares it here?

Aviate is nice but nothing earth shattering. Like themer, it’s primary user will NOT be someone who uses LL/Tasker/zooper… They are nice for the masses, but any respectable “geek” wouldn’t use them for more than 15 minutes 😛 I do have 4 aviate invites if anyone wants to try.

Bryan Raymond Can I give it a try? I do think I’ll stick to your comment and swap away from Aviate to LL other launchers and back all the time 😛
