Oui, j’essaie de parler un peu français. Étudié à l’école secondaire et a même pu aller en France en 1972 (2 mois), puis de nouveau en 1978, mais cette fois pour six mois! Je suis dans une largeur poils d’essayer émigrer alors, mais j’ai décidé que le collège était plus important. J’ai regretté cette décision depuis. Pourtant, je l’écoute des stations de radio français tout le temps et tout simplement j’adore France Gall, Françoise Hardy et Jacques Dutronc tout le temps. Je sais, anciens mais j’aime la musique de l’époque. Alizée et la dernière musique semble juste trop enfantin pour moi, mais je ne l’aime Mylène Farmer ainsi. Désolé la longue réponse.

You keep surprising me Pierre Hébert , I was looking for this functionality last night. And wanted to ask today when I got a moment how I could sort in the app drawer.
I get a free moment finally and a new beta with the exact ability I was looking for less than 24h ago =D
I’ve got some weird behaviour though – in My app drawer, I’ve only started to organize it so I’ve only had the time to make a single folder with all my games, nothing more; I have the pages set up as 3×10 with text on the right side (+some more formatting for the text and icons) and when I press sort a-z the it gives me 3×3 on every page and the bottom is just empty.
I enabled “rearrange items” made a small move, everything was filled in an instant, pressed sort a-z again and got 3×3 icons on every page!
(Also got a few crashes while surfing the settings parts, sent the logs, as always, other than that I’ve had no hiccups so far!)

Not related, but just remembered!
If I’ve hidden the notification bar and have set up a shortcut to show notifications, then is it supposed to first click: show notification bar ; second click: pull down the notifications window? Shouldn’t it do the second only?
And if I set the same action to a widget’s swipe down action, then swiping down on that widget showed the notification bar for as long as I didn’t release the swipe.
That last one was actually kinda convinient, but the shortcut requiring two presses wasn’t.
Also, what do you think about either disabling the showing of the notification bar when the menu is pressed or making the default a long menu press, when the notification bar is hidden? Or adding an option to disable it?

Taavo Allik in fact this feature has been asked numerous time, and I probably should have done this earlier. Regarding the problem you mention, I guess that you use horizontal scrolling and LL incorrectly use the number of columns as the number of rows (or vice versa). I will look at this.

Chris Chastain the feature is not built in, but there is a trick that you may use: add a space in front and at the end of each folder name. The first space will force it to appear before ‘a’, the last one will ensure the text remain centered (if needed). The drawback is that you need to do this once for each folder and this will not work for descending order.

Pierre Hébert You guess correctly, I have set it up to scroll only horizontally. And in my case it seems to use the number of coulumns as the number of rows (tried with 4 columns as well and then got 4 rows).
Also loading the icons on demand makes a huge difference! The app drawer seems a lot more responsive now, makes me wonder why the minimize RAM usage isn’t on by default (Just now noticed laggier scrolling…probably because the icons need to be loaded before reaching the next page?)

Pretty bad situation currently… It seems I published my latest template created with 9.04 or 9.06, but at Play the official version seems to be still 9.01 (cannot verify, am unable to get the official release, tried multiple times after leaving beta). Thought 9.04/6 was published officially. Got complaints from users who downloaded but can’t apply ( https://plus.google.com/106201536507820539535/posts/UGq96r6nEHg ). I am forced to direct them to join this community and enter the beta channel. Not good…

Lutz Linke I fear I am a bit late, but in this case the best is to revert to a previous version while increasing the version code, or to simply unpublish the package for some time. Regarding 9.1.b1 I confirm that it is only in beta, nothing seems abnormal on the developer console. No idea why you still get this version 🙁
