v9.9.9 beta
v9.9.9 beta
A new one to improve a few things:
– when applying a template, new option to use the wallpaper or not
– fix template export error
– fix a bug when merging desktops from template
– add Item.setTag and Item.getTag to store and retrieve persistent data from script
– add Android object to scripts in order to access platform services (as of today: only toasts)

Does merging desktops only work with templates exported with 9.9.9? Tried various times, even started from one empty desktop, all attempts ended badly. Hard to see a pattern.
Order seems inverted.
In many cases 1 of 2 imported desktops has the label “null”.
Additional imports leads to multiple desktops with same label; “null” often, but also exports with identical named desktops (especially when none given so names were “1” and “2”.
In this case all desktops with same name look identical, renaming or deleting effects BOTH, no way to separate them.

“Back”-button behaviour is greatly improved inside panels, thanks a lot, context switch works good.
I does not work in some cases when clicked repeatedly though. For example when first swiped in panel 1, then in panel 2, repeatedly tapping “back” only works at the active (in this case panel 2) container, the first swipe in panel 1 is only undone when that panel is activated again. But I think this is a system’s limitation one can live with.

Lutz Linke I’ve not seen any issues merging templates . I’m actually extremely pleased with the way it’s worked for me so far. The version of llx used to create the merged template hasn’t made any difference on the ones I’ve tried. The only surprise I’ve had so far, is that merging causes the system wallpaper to be replaced by the system wallpaper from the newly merged template. But desktop wallpapers are maintained, so its not a problem, just confusing the first time I tried it…. As far as order being inverted, my merged desktops land to the right of my original desktop. I will try a few more and see if I can get it to misbehave but so far it has not.

TrianguloY there’s an api reference page? Sorry if I’ve missed something very obvious, but could you tell me where I can find it?

Thanks TrianguloY!

Lutz Linke it should work with other templates, and I tested with several existing ones including Pixel Perfect so I believe the problem is due to a combination of the existing setup and the template. Would it be possible to get a backup file and the template you are trying to load so that I can have a look at them ?

TrianguloY right ! It is up to date now.

Lutz Linke also regarding the back behavior, I think I have seen a related behavior, I will see how this can be improved.
