theres another bug Pierre Hébert i didnt notice at first but when you go to add an item and you hit apps (either by mistake or on purpose) once you hit that everytime you go to add an item the app drawer opens and no list of items comes up. i found the only fix so far was resetting the device or restarting the launcher.

Is there no transparent navbar support in landscape, or is this a bug?

I don’t know, I don’t have a 4.4 phone to test with and the emulator is broken (it never switches to landscape)

    I am on 4.4.

what exactly do you need to know, can I help with that somehow?

I can help too. Yes, in landscape transparent nav bar don’t work (it is opaque) but at least now the ‘ghost bar’ is not there (I mean the bug reported in previous version)

This has certainly something to do with the phone UI, but I can’t say what could be wrong, there is no difference in requesting this bar to be transparent in portrait or landscape. Could it be that the wallpaper does not extend behind the bar, and for this reason it looks opaque because background is black ?

Pierre Hébert may be possible. How do I test that?

Another bug: a not opaque color set as background does not fill the desktop when switching layout.

Maybe try to set a manual width in the wallpaper settings.

Regarding translucent color this is a known limitation, I don’t plan to try to fix it at the moment.

OK, I thought because it works sometimes it may be possible to fix…

I think it works if the bars overlap with the content, otherwise the tint color, which is drawn as the background of the content, doesn’t reach bars.

Oh I think you misunderstood me. The translucent color is not only missing under the bars, but also after switching orientation on about a third of the rest of the screen.

That’s strange, this is as if the color was not completely drawn. The per desktop wallpaper might be affected by this issue too.
