A third beta to bring bug fixes to the previous one. It also introduces a new option to switch between dark and light themes. This option apply to all screens except the desktop, app drawer and lock screen: settings screens, script editor, backup/restore screen, image&file pickers, etc.).
The light theme is the default for new install, but for existing setups, the dark one is kept as the default.
Regarding the menu key configuration, depending on your setup, it may be reset to “Toggle status bar & Lightning menu”. This will only appear once.
Theme modifications are tricky due to the wide variety of devices and android versions. In spite of my efforts to make as many tests as possible, I don’t exclude weird things, you’re warned!

Ren Shore interesting behavior! I cannot see this on my N7 5.0.2 but I can see it sometimes on my phone ! (xperia V, 4.3). It seems that Android uses the theme values stored in the application manifest to speed up the initial screen rendering for the animation: the system composes an empty screen with the background color found in the theme specified by the manifest (default is light), before to start the activity and use the theme set at run time (which is really the very first thing done). I believe the effect will depend on the animation which is played between activity transition. I found a workaround: setting a translucent theme by default in the manifest fixes the issue but it will probably introduces a short latency when the app is “cold”.
