Lightning has a new icon 🙂
Creating an icon is incredibly hard. But, with the invaluable help of the community the app has a new logo. This new icon is based on the work of Jeff Ludlow . I would like to warmly thank him but also every members of this community who participated in discussions. I firmly believe that in the final icon there is a small part of all previous brainstorms.
I like this icon for its clean, sharp and vivid color. This is an abstract design, easy to grasp and remember, and although it has no apparent link with a launcher, I believe that it is well suited for Lightning. After all this is a bit more than a launcher…

And a new theme! I love Orange 💜id like a way to be able to reset to the default color though instead of using a color picker tool to find out what hex code your using.
If that makes sense.
Edit by default I don’t mean red I mean after we change say a status bar or navbar to green or something, I’d like an easy way to go back to the default orange again

I downloaded the update yesterday and saw the new icon. Love it 🙂 . I wasn’t part of the icon wars lol, and I didn’t voice my opinion really. But so glad the traditional lightning bolt wasn’t used. An app icon is like a logo and should immediately make one identify with the app it signifies. It’s modern and flat and the first thing I think is lightning launcher when I see it. Nice work and nice choice.
