I’m running the current stable LLX on a nexus 5 running kitkat.

I’m running the current stable LLX on a nexus 5 running kitkat. I just got the n5. Before, I was using a S3. Everything worked fine on the S3.

Now I notice that even though I’ve told LLX to hide the status bar, there’s a blank status-bar-sized stripe at the top of the screen.

Also, if I set a wallpaper just for one desktop, the wallpaper extends neither up past where the status bar usually is, nor down past the on screen buttons.

Can anyone help me figure this out?

    The s3 was using 4.2.something.

I just noticed that if I create a new desktop and apply a wallpaper, it goes right up to the top of the screen. It’s as if desktops created on another device keep some aspects of the old device?

that i dont know but i do know the transparent SBF is only good on certain android versions so it may not work on 4.4

It’s more than just resizing the wallpaper. When it’s in layout edit mode, the grid doesn’t go up to the top of the screen; it stops where the status bar would be if it weren’t hidden.

One more thing: the on screen buttons are coloured per the device wallpaper, not the desktop wallpaper.

Any ideas on how to change that?

i wouldnt know about any of that because my staus bar is on bottom and will never see transparency. i have tried because i literally cannot stand any status bar on bottom.

One more thing. After creating a new desktop on the n5, all the desktops actually hide the status bar if they’re supposed to. It’s as if creating a desktop told LLX to fix whatever it brought over from the s3 that it shouldn’t have.

Indeed, the default behavior has changed, but the warning in the app update description has been often unseen because it has been replaced with the one of 10.0.1 🙁

Anyway, maybe in this specific case the app could always make the status bar overlap the content, since I don’t think there is a valid use in having a blank bar at the op of the screen ?

I was concerned it was a more serious bug. Given it’s something resulting from the continued evolution of LLX, I suspect it’s only a flash in the pan and shouldn’t matter in a few weeks or months as everyone will have dealt with it – and new users wouldn’t see the problem.

    Thanks anyways.
