Simple question?!

When I add a folder to my desktop and then long press to add items they all end up stacked on top of each other. Is this me or is it normal llx behavior?

This is the current behaviour. It’s not the intended behaviour to the best of my knowledge.

Long press on app drawer, “add to launcher”? Yes, stacked, definitely a bug.

Also staked when dropping into folders (at least in the app drawer. OH, and sometimes the items become 2×1 when doing it there; so this old bug still persist…should I make a post about it? )

There is an option to auto arange items. When you move one on the stack the rest will move around and unstack in no specific order.

Are you referring to Folder options > Behavior > Layout > Placement ? I have tried snapping to both center and edge without success. When I have moved one off the stack the other items remained stacked.

    Miscellaneous options > rearrange items.

I do appreciate that. While I wish that they wouldn’t stack initially, perhaps there is a reason for that stacking that has yet to be discovered! Thank you for your response Robert.

Items are stacked when layed out in “free” mode only.  When items are placed on the grid this is easy to find the next free cell. But when items are placed freely, I don’t have a good way to find an empty hole, so the item is put on the next free cell, which remains the same when adding multiple items in free mode.
