I noticed the “Vote on new feature” in the description.

I’m not really good in English, What does the first available option exactly for?

“Variables for use in applications like Zooper. (Ex. #LL_PAGENUM# would give the current page number. For use in creating page indicator widgets)”

P.s. I know about the variables of Zooper app

Thats my submission for a feature.

I use Zooper a great deal for creating my own widgets. Zooper users variables very heavily for its widgets. The variables can do all sorts of things.

As an example with the page number variable, #LL_PAGENUM#, this variable would output a number in Zooper (1, 2, 3, 4, ect)

You could simply have a widget that display text at the bottom of your layout, like a page number in a book. If you set this widget in Zooper to use #LL_PAGENUM#, it would change its text dependent on what page you are currently on in Lightning Launcher.

Thats a simple example, lets do a more complex one.

Lets say I want to create a sliding indicator, like we see in other launchers. I could build a shape in Zooper thats the indicator.

I could then move this shape all the way to the left border of the screen. This is its start point. Lets say it has a X coordinate value of -116. If I were to move it to the opposite border side, it would have an X coordinate of +116. Now lets say my layout in Lightning Launcher is only two pages, just so we can keep this script simple.

I could write out the following code in the advanced settings for this shape layer in Zooper. And it will move back and forth depending on the page we are on in Lightning Launcher.

    [ox]$#LL_PAGENUM#=1?-116:116$[ox]

This string is asking if the page number output by #LL_PAGENUM# is 1. If it is then the X coordinate of this layer is -116. If its not 1,  then the X Coordinate changes to +116.

That’s a really great idea though my brain hurts at first, trying to understand that complex example.

Wait… Does that mean a super dynamic widget??

Jhonbert Magana If you have not played with Zooper, you are missing out big time.

Zooper on its own allows for some crazy complex dynamic widgets.

Once you start adding Tasker into the mix to create new variables for Zooper to use, the options are pretty much limitless.

All I can say is that once I found Zooper, my instant reaction was “Fuck a UCCW”

I’m actually a fan of Zooper. My homescreen consists of zooper widgets only. Yes, no icons.

Chris sledge I first heard about uccw but I haven’t tried it. All I know is, there is so much more you can do with Zooper.

Chris sledge All I can say is that Zooper is UCCW without the training wheels and limitations.

I dont care what came first or any of that type of stuff. I care what I can do with a WYSIWYG editor. In that regard UCCW is extremely limited.

This is from someone that has used Chronotopia and UCCW since their release.

If you are not using Zooper, its your loss.

You should give Zooper a try Chris sledge . 😀 I also don’t use tasker ’cause I don’t want to install another app as long as possible.

Chris sledge I think you read into my text the wrong way… there was nothing heated in what I was saying.
