I’ve been through the scripting tutorial etc and had a look at what methods and properties are available but what I’m not seeing is if there is any way to configure LLX via scripting – in my case most specifically I’d like to be able to define a desktop as home within a script so I can have multiple desktops for home, my business etc.
Is this doable, and if so, how?

Nope. You can go to different desktops, but you can’t set the home one…

Not my idea, saw it on some post (don’t remember who’s post or who’s idea): you can assign the home button to run scripts, right? Then you can make it run a different position (desktop+position) related script based on the parameters you want, right?
Please correct me someone more knowledgeable, if I’m wrong!
This might have been a question, suggestion or something else entirely, I don’t remember…just wanted to mention this.

Yes, that’s right. However if you restart your phone you’ll always get to the home screen…
And yes, something similar was asked in the past

Hmmmmmm
How about…
Lukas Morawietz, could you please test this for me?
Make a black desktop, with nothing (preferably black background too)
Set it as the home desktop
Make a script that will go to a different desktop depending of…let’s say time.
Set it in the resume event of the desktop.
How does it works? Is it slow? Fast? Hmm
(I asked Lukas, but everyone in the beta can test it)

Indeed, configuration options found under the “General” category (and the desktop configuration is part of this category internally) cannot be accessed through scripting currently but this can probably be added quite easily as the structure is similar to the desktop or item configuration.

Pierre Hébert that would be tres superb! Even if the only option off the bat was to set the default home desktop that would enable me to have multiple desktops for each environments.
