LLX lost my panel last night for no obvious reason.

Everything was normal, I went to run an app (unsure which one), launched via a folder opener in the panel. When I came back the whole panel had vanished.

Zoomed out the desktop, but it wasn’t visible anywhere. Had to restore a backup.

This isn’t the first time this has happened either.

Exceptionally annoying.

Unsure if I’m missing something, but is it possible to cut and paste a shortcut from the main desktop into a folder or panel?

I’ve an app that allows you to create a shortcut but it places it on the desktop whereas I want it inside a folder.

Possible or not?

Not expecting this to be looked at yet because it’s so far only just happened and not yet repeated, but wanted to log it just in case I, or someone else, gets it again.

Using LLX, all fine. Popped into Tasker to run a profile totally unrelated to LLX.

Went back out and found that I had lost my shortcut panel I use to launch everything from, bar one shortcut (phone) which was now left in the middle of the desktop.

Fortunately I was able to restore a backup from Saturday with Titanium.

Oddness…

LLX keeps losing ‘connectivity’ with one of my apps.

LLX keeps losing ‘connectivity’ with one of my apps. By this I mean that at random times when I launch it from the folder the shortcut lives in, LLX tells me it can’t find the app and I have to reselect it.

The app in question hasn’t updated in a while and I’ve not changed anything else in the folder. In addition it always seems to be the one app only.

Once selected it seems to be fine for a while until its not again.

Any ideas?

This always happens with LLX: I use Gentle Alarm as my night clock fixed in landscape mode.

This always happens with LLX: I use Gentle Alarm as my night clock fixed in landscape mode. Whenever I come out back into LLX and fire up my favorites folder, it’s always in the wrong position and I have to manually move it again.

The three shots below show the problem in question, the position of the stop points I added in an attempt to fix the issue, and what it should look like.

Any ideas Pierre Hébert?

Currently I have a folder that holds a widget.

Currently I have a folder that holds a widget. Folder shows up only when I use a tap gesture. So far, so good. This is my sliding calendar folder then that only shows up when I want to see it.

What if I wanted this tap gesture to show two folders, one up top and one a bit below it.

Reason being I like my desktop very spartan with only 4 buttons at the bottom. I might also want to have a couple of info bars which only fire up on request though.

Would this be achieved through panels or can I still use folders? Also, how can I get the single tap to show the two panels\folders – both in predefined positions?

I’m a thunking some scripting is needed. Anyone care to throw me some bones as to where to look?

I’ve been through the scripting tutorial etc and had a look at what methods and properties are available but what I’m not seeing is if there is any way to configure LLX via scripting – in my case most specifically I’d like to be able to define a desktop as home within a script so I can have multiple desktops for home, my business etc.

Is this doable, and if so, how?
