LLX lost my panel last night for no obvious reason.

LLX lost my panel last night for no obvious reason.

Everything was normal, I went to run an app (unsure which one), launched via a folder opener in the panel. When I came back the whole panel had vanished.

Zoomed out the desktop, but it wasn’t visible anywhere. Had to restore a backup.

This isn’t the first time this has happened either.

Exceptionally annoying.

    Did you check the hierarchy?

Jay M no, all I did was exactly as described. TBH I’ve no idea what the Hierarchy even is in this regard.

My desktop is total empty except for this bottom shortcut panel.

So when I came back to the launcher after running the app all I had was a totally empty desktop.

IIRC you already had the same issue in the past? If it reproduces again, before to restore a backup, could you save your setup as a backup so that I can have a look at internal data?

My guess is that the panel was not visible, but I don’t think it has been removed by error.

Pierre Hébert I certainly can. The other issue I had was with the one app that continued to lose contact with its icon. Currently I have the no longer working icon and a working one in the same folder. Should I send you the latest backup so you can look at both to see what’s different between the two, if if so, where should I send it to?

Pierre Hébert that’s perfectly understandable. I’m in the exact same boat at work trying desperately to put together a POS system for a massive event in two weeks time; a fact seemingly lost of folk who see their day to day database issues as a priority…!

The hierarchy lists all things on your desktop this will confirm if its still there or not.

Jay M as I stated, I had no idea what it is, so a pointer on even where to find it would be handy! 😁

eh I can’t see the hierarchy option anywhere :/

If I open a folder its there but obviously it only lists the stuff in the folder, I’m sure It use to be in the item menu I can’t think of any other way I could of got the item ids for items on my desktop.
