Lightning Drawer Bug Report

Lightning Drawer Bug Report

v1.7

Both Load a Style and Save a Style are not functioning. When you choose Save a Style then New… you are just returned to either main screen or your open folder. When you choose Load a Style then choose a style, no style is applied.

Pierre Hébert please don’t use any of your holiday time off to work on this, thanks!

Panel scrolling bug

Panel scrolling bug

Pierre Hébert

Here are the steps to recreate the scrolling bug.

1. Start with a new or reset Desktop

2. Add a panel that will scroll; like the one in Pierre Hébert’s demo. Make sure the items can be scrolled to the left.

3. From the Launcher menu choose Customize Lightning > Current Desktop > Items > +

4. In the Gestures section set Swipe Right to Customize Lightning (Do not set any other gestures)

5. Return to the desktop and try scrolling the panel contents.

Panel difficulties…

Panel difficulties…

I can not achieve the smooth scrolling within a panel that can be seen in Pierre Hébert’s video and Josh Gray’s screen demo.

When I try to scroll, the panel contents only move a small amount… many swipes are needed just to move the panel one grid square.

Any ideas what I can check or tweak before I turn this into a bug report?

LLX v8.8.4

LLX v8.8.4

The Default Icon choice does not work for the Icon Mask and/or Overlay settings on an individual icon level.

The Default Icon choice does work in the Item Settings.

Pierre Hébert I’ll give you steps to reproduce/demonstrate if you need them…

Lightning Drawer Bug Report (maybe)

Lightning Drawer Bug Report (maybe)

Pierre Hébert When I installed the LD beta all the links in LLX to folders in MyDrawer broke. Now the links just go to MyDrawer and not to a specific folder.

Is this correct behavior? Or, should the links have been preserved?

Lightning Launcher Bug Report

Lightning Launcher Bug Report

(and discussion)

Desktops deleted using Configure Desktops are not really deleted.

1. Go to Configure Desktops and add a desktop.

2. Go to the home desktop and add a LL Desktop & Position shortcut that links to the new desktop.

3. Go to the new desktop by clicking the shortcut and then add an app or a folder or whatever.

4. Go to Configure Desktops and delete the new desktop.

5. Go to the home desktop and click the shortcut that links to the new desktop. You’ll be taken to the deleted desk top.

Note that a new shortcut to the deleted desktop cannot be created. Also, folders on this deleted desktop can be linked to using an LL Action shortcut.

Discussion:

If functional desktops can exist that can only be reached via a shortcut does deleting the shortcut leave all the items on this now unreachable desktop? If so, then this becomes wasted memory.

I see three possible solutions:

1. When you delete a desktop it should be completely deleted and not accessible.

2. Take advantage of this functioning and add a Hide/Unhide feature to Configure Desktops and as new LL Desktop & Position shortcuts are created allow them to only link to desktops that are not hidden.

This would create a desktop that is not easily reachable but could contain items such as “hidden” folders to be linked to, or items you want to keep private.

3. Do both 1 and 2. Make deleted desktops be completey deleted, and add a hide/unhide feature to Configure Desktops.

The app crashes when trying to save a Style over an existing Style. This is true from either Settings or Folder Settings.

Here’s a crash report:

In Folder Settings > Layout > Toggle Portrait/Landscape the “Settings below apply to” is set by default to Portrait… shouldn’t the default be Portrait & Landscape so that it is consistent with LL and LLX?

The mask and overlay of Applied Icon Packs are not sticking. Many seemingly unrelated changes will cause these to revert to default.

Here is just one example:

1. Go to My Drawer.

2. Add a folder.

3. Go to Settings and apply an icon pack that has a mask and overlay. (Download and use Rusticons from the Play Store. This pack has obvious mask and overlay.)

4. Back out of settings and see that icons have changed along with the mask and overlay of the folder.

5. Go to Settings > Folders Window and change the font size of the title.

6. Back out of settings and see that the mask and overlay of icons and folders has reverted to default.
