I know you can do it with zooper or uccw, but I want a ‘photo only’ widget if possible.

Sorry, that’s not what I’m looking for.
I want to make the typical ‘secret home’ and I need to have a photo that fills the whole screen and that I can move.
The widget need to have the option to fill the space, no frames at all. (Animation is not necessary.)
With your suggestions, the widget always have frames, even if I disable them (I mean, you can see the background between the photo and the widget border)

In my opinion zooper widget is the best for making photo or photo only widgets and you can also made it e.g. to make it change your photos every minute. Other widgets have limited functionality.

The Animated Photo Frame devs just emailed me back apparently its caused by the launcher they sent me a screenshot of SSlauncher with the widget and there’s no gap :/

its definately caused by LL I just tried it on Apex with No margins and widget padding off and it filled the screen, retried it in LL and even with widget padding set to 0 it still has that gap

Some developers have been a little bit upset because of these margins…
The widget has no knowledge of its container and cannot adjust margins, but the launcher can “explore” the content of the widget, hence it could be possible to hack the widget container and remove margins, but honestly this would be really dirty…

Why not just stretch the image widget when you tap on the widget twice in edit mode you get the arrows to scale it?
