Toolbox, material design, house but not a house…
First I thought about adding a paint brush, a screwdriver or even a wench, but I didn’t like the effect. That’s why I added that android icon.
The other one tries to be the ‘scripting’ feature…tries.
This is another point of view for the icon discussion. Keep the idea (a toolbox and stickers) but not the picture itself (I made it entirely with my mobile phone…not bad I must admit )
As usual, this can make you think and gave ideas to other possibilities.
I would strongly agree with Chris and say that I’m not a fan of Android being part of an icon itself. I do like that people are thinking beyond what we currently have. I do also like the house in this one as it is a bit minimal.
Josh Gray ah ah ! This is the hat I usually wear when I am kayaking. My wife dislike this profile photo and think it is really poor but as I don’t have another one I won’t change it… Maybe I could replace it with a bike helmet, but that’s off topic.
In my opinion the Android logo is now linked with system things, a bit like if it was “reserved”, I wouldn’t use it anymore for a third party app. But the idea of tool is more or less in sync with the “build your homescreen” concept.
Maybe another way to see this idea would be a home that is being constructed, with some machine or a scaffolding, a crane ?
(I hope “scaffolding” and “crane” are right words, I am using a translator…)

Lightning (because its fast as Lightning, in fact its a little bit frightening) Launcher (Because its what it is lol) Extreme (Because its extremely customizable and extremely Amazing)
And IMO Android Launcher+ just sounds like a run of the mill launcher something which we all no its definitely not.
