#tasker #autovoice #folders
Due to the previous fantastic update of LLx I have fiddled around with tasker and autovoice. My aim is to be able to open a specific folder by voice command. However I have not solved it yet. Has anyone tried this with positive result? Would be grateful for some suggestions or complete solution.

You need to use autoshortcut (same author as autovoice 🙂 ). There you can select a LL action –> open folder –> folder name. I hope this helps you.

Thank you for your answer. I have downloaded auto shortcut since before. Autovoice has now ability to work with variables example saying “open folder (?.+)”. The variable is the folder I choose to open. With this feature I save a lot of time programming instead of making separate profiles for every single folder. I have not yet soved it.

As you know, in order to use Autovoices’s variable features, LL should provide opening a folder using variable, but afaik, LL doesnt.
But I think it maybe possible, maybe… LL provides a shortcut for opening a specific(pre-selected) folder having a name. That means internally we could use sending Intent having bundle data(folder name), which we should find or maybe Pierre Hébert may tell its data. Then it can be possible.

After some fiddling, I found LL uses internal folder ID, not folder name in calling folder-open shorcut. That means we cant use a variable method, so have to use one-to-one mapping…:(
I know someday LL may adapt Tasker interaction.

Ah! Okay! Thank you. We will have to do it the hard way;)

KyungJoon Lee integration with Tasker would seriously rock
