   I guess you are not using LLX.

   
   

   I always have set two finger swipe left and right to previous and next desktop.

   
   

   in LL you can’t make more desktops afaik.

   the min/max desktops in lightning launcher is 5. no more no less. however in lightning launcher extreme its between 1 and …….. 20?

   In theory in LLX between 1 and 99

   
   

   In LL you can change the gesture to switch desktops, also you can place a shortcut to a specific one.
