Is there a shortcut or other way to change the default desktop?

Is there a shortcut or other way to change the default desktop?  I’m basically using Tasker and LLX to make a launcher setup with different home screens that are displayed based on the current context (Morning, Day, Night, Work, Out or Music).

Right now the way I’m doing it is to create a shortcut in Tasker that loads the appropriate home screen based on the context, and assign that shortcut to the home key.

I could be way out of my league here.  I’m pretty sure if you use tasker profiles instead of shortcuts, it will change based on time of day,  location, weather, etc.

No need for a shortcut to click.  That doesn’t exactly solve what you’re asking though.

I think he means a way to select a specific desktop rather than just previous or next. I’d like to be able to do that too.

What you want can be done.

Make a tasker profile for each routine.

You can set each profile to be automatic OR just make a cycling shortcut of profiles with each click.

In each profile make the home button launch the lightning action of go to desktop and position. Make it the one you want.

Now whichever profile you are currently using makes the home button go to that screen. It never changes the actual home in llx but there is also no need to do so.

Contact me if you need help.

Or maybe you are saying that this Suggestion is exactly what you’re already doing… In which case I don’t see the problem.
