  1. I only have found a way to change the icon size for a selected folder – but not a general setting for all folders within a desktop…

You can change it for an individual item or for all items in a container.

A folder is just another item (with a different behavior when clicking) so you need to apply it on every folder individually, or in the container that have the folders (although as I said this will change also the other items like shortcuts)

I think you can also use the copy/paste style to be faster.

  3. Thanks TrianguloY for your explanation. I think I have used the wrong word. I wanted to scale the icons in all container within a desktop and didn’t find it in the desktop settings. So it seems that there is no such functionality.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but:

Long tap the desktop, go to edit mode, open the properties, change the scale under icon.

This will change the scale of all the items in that container.

The idea is: an item selected -> edit that item. No item selected -> edit all items of that container.

You can see what you are editing in the top of the editing box.

  5. Thanks again for your explanation. Now I have understood the behaviour. It is like you described first. I have to change the scale for the items in folders separately for each folder within the desktop. There is no general setting on desktop level.

There are also styles that you can save and load when clicking the three lines when editing a container (at the bottom of the list)

However this is faster when you need to set a lot of properties at once, for a single property it is easier to do it manually.

Also, another solution is from a script.
