i didnt but i dont think its the screen because if i tap the video/image above^ then pinch zoom in the gradient moves with the image/video and depending on how far i zoom in it even dissapears. Its like its part of the video/image. Hope my phone aint faulty 😔
I can see it too, weird… When you zoom in, does the grey rect, appear then disappear or it stay appear ? If it’s disappear maybe it’s due to the scale of the wallpaper
And if you move the wallpaper, does it move with it or it stay at the top of your phone ?
thank fuck someone else can see it i thought i was going nuts, i tried multiple launchers to rule out Lightning and its the same thing with each launcher. It stays at the top of the phone. Ive downloaded about 3 solid black wallpapers from various forums and each 1 does this. Even the ones i make in photoshop do it. This wallpaper should be #ff000000 this is the wallpaper i set the first time i seen this happen. Ive been over it with a color picker and its 100% black except for the white bits 😁
I see it now that Stahw Down mentioned zooming on the first screenshot and used 100% brightness. I still can’t see it in the video nor the last screenshot you just posted.
Since you tried different launchers it must be the phone’s screen, I guess
i asked in the Cyanogenmod community if anyone with a Note 8 can confirm it but so far no reply. Im thinking it might be something to do with stock TW.
cheers i can live with it like its not really a big deal like i said i can cover it up with a black object. But when you pay nearly a grand cash for a phone you shouldnt have to put up with anything, i feel a discounts in order if it turns out to be a fault lol
they make some sexy devices though and never had any problems with them until now. I factory reset the phone and this still happens^ so im sure its a fault Argos better replace it or ima be pissed.
I know on my note 5, Samsung adds a gradient to the top of most my wallpapers. I’ve gotten around it by making an image object, stretching it to the size of my desktop, and locking / pinning it down.

With the best will in the world.. i can’t.
Did you watch your own video on another device (PC)?
Only thing I can think of, is that your screen has the grey gradient.
