Here are the screens for my latest…release it this afternoon sometime..Using Lightning Launcher Extreme,Zooper,Media Utilities,Popup Widget and of course Photoshop..

Tapping the arrow icon on the homescreen opens up and automatically brings in your notication page for quick access…this was done with popup widgets and when it closes you will have acces to an apps page with a music player,tapping the music player text starts music and reveals your media controls along with song/artist info and coverart..

By tapping the computer icon your homescreen will actually close in as i showed in the video preview…as soon as my homescreen closes back in my display shuts off…this is done with scripts in LLX

My phone have CALL, MENU, BACK, and PHONE_HANGING_UP..

When Lockscreen displayed (after home or power button pressed) they’re still active, can be pressed accidentally and causing trouble to me

How to disable them on Lockscreen?

I am working on the default setup at the moment.And I need a little help!

As you know, the current one is fairly minimal and I would like to add a few more icons (such as phone, play store – exact list not defined yet).

The issue is that some apps are device specific. For instance Samsung will have its own phone app, same for HTC and others. Worst, these apps may change from a firmware to another. This means that the launcher may have to test several “app internal  names” before to find the right one.

I couldn’t find a public database of internal names, so I am requesting your help to build a small one.The idea is to run a script for a set of applications on your desktop and share  the result of this script (or post it in a comment). To do this, please load the script from the APK below (Lightning menu / Scripts /Load a script), long tap on some app on your desktop (not the app drawer) and select Scripts / Share app’s component name. This will prompt you to send an email to me with the app internal name, label, device name and android version. The apps I am interested in for possible addition on the home screen are:

– phone

– camera

– settings

– browser

– app store

– calculator

– agenda

– email

– contacts

– clock

Not all these apps will go on the desktop, but I will rather use alternatives if some app is missing (for instance no phone on tablet, then use contacts). That’s already a long list but if you feel some app should be on the home screen, feel free to let me know

Many thanks!

Just wondering:

Just wondering:

Now that you are adding a lot of new things from lollipop…will you add the ‘material selection effect’ to the list of selection effects, like you did with holo?

I mean, that when you click the item a ‘circle’ will start on the item growing until it reaches the sides of the box.

Maybe also add it so long click will become more…material?

Just asking, not sure how difficult it is to implement (and I guess you know someone will ask for this)

Oh, I forgot.

I really like the dark theme. That mix of red and dark grey is a good combination. Thanks!

v10.7b3

v10.7b3

A third beta to bring bug fixes to the previous one. It also introduces a new option to switch between dark and light themes. This option apply to all screens except the desktop, app drawer and lock screen: settings screens, script editor, backup/restore screen, image&file pickers, etc.).

The light theme is the default for new install, but for existing setups, the dark one is kept as the default.

Regarding the menu key configuration, depending on your setup, it may be reset to “Toggle status bar & Lightning menu”. This will only appear once.

Theme modifications are tricky due to the wide variety of devices and android versions. In spite of my efforts to make as many tests as possible, I don’t exclude weird things, you’re warned!

Dear Script-magicians

Dear Script-magicians,

This javascript thing is driving me nuts. I’m trying to do something very simple, just for fun… I created a small (1×2) panel and called that “mini”. It’s detached from the grid and not pinned. I’m just trying to move the damned thing using a script that runs when the panel is touched. Only thing that happens is an error message:

at line 8: ReferenceError: Cannot call method “setposition” of null

That should mean the getitem method returned null.What am I doing wrong? Here’s the code:

var cont=LL.getEvent().getContainer();

var bar=cont.getItemByLabel(“mini”);

rc=bar.setPosition(1,1);

This is not a script. This is an APK!

This is not a script. This is an APK!

Many thanks to Lukas Morawietz, I started this project thanks to him (I guess you know why 😉

And also to Pierre Hébert for…everything.

Ok, this app is called Repository importer, and allows you to import any script to the launcher from the Repository with the click of a button.

What it does: you navigate with the built in webview browser, you open a page with a script, you press the import button, and after accept you will have the script available in the launcher.

What it doesn’t do: retrieve the name and the flags required (but you can edit them before import), retrieve more than one script(only the first), and it doesn’t follow the instructions of the script and do them for you.

Keep in mind it is the first published version, I tested it and couldn’t find any more bugs, but I’m sure there are.

Even thought I made this to test myself if I could make a basic app, if I see people use it I will publish it on the play store.

If you want to know how I made to create new scripts from another app…why don’t you try it? (Hint: you need to import a script from lightning menu 😉

[Note]

For obvious reasons I need the Internet permission. I promise non data is collected 🙂

I have a serious problem with Iightning launcher.

I have a serious problem with Iightning launcher. It seems that it’s calculating the screen size wrong. Most of the time I cannot reach the right part of my desktop. I have a fixed layout grid of 7×7. Das anyone know how to fix that? The problem appeared about 1 or 2 months ago.
