It’s possible to set a shadow for text, so I suppose it doesn’t cost much cpu/battery.

Do you think there’s a possibility to extend this to other objects? I would love to have shadows available on launcher level, so I don’t have to fake them with zooper…

Is it difficult to implement the following? I’d like to have a shortcut close folder, where you can choose the folder (just like the opening counterpart).

I don’t get the topmost concept.

Say you want all desktops, folders, panels,… with the same background, same borders, margins, font, colors,…

You have to change the settings for each new object you create. I would like to see the possibility to choose default layout settings of objects. I know it’s possible to copy them from an existing one, but would like it to be set once and for all…

Possible? Desirable? Too hard to code?

Just an idea

Dear Script-magicians

Dear Script-magicians,

This javascript thing is driving me nuts. I’m trying to do something very simple, just for fun… I created a small (1×2) panel and called that “mini”. It’s detached from the grid and not pinned. I’m just trying to move the damned thing using a script that runs when the panel is touched. Only thing that happens is an error message:

at line 8: ReferenceError: Cannot call method “setposition” of null

That should mean the getitem method returned null.What am I doing wrong? Here’s the code:

var cont=LL.getEvent().getContainer();

var bar=cont.getItemByLabel(“mini”);

rc=bar.setPosition(1,1);

When I select the same background for system and a panel, the wallpaper of the panel is all compressed. Is it possible to have it “normal” as if the system wallpaper is shining trough.

This is what I want to do : create a panel that seems not to be there, and hide some icons behind it. This results in the icons appearing in the middle of the screen when scrolling them from behind the panel

I would like to see some new stuff:

Shadow possible for every object (icon, folder, widget, panel…)

Properties (color, opacity, rotation, location on screen, font…) of every object change dynamically, based on system values and gestures

Quite something, but it would add a lot of functionality, mostly animation. Some of these things are already done in kustom live wallpaper.
