I am not sure it is a bug or even directly linked to Ligthning Launcher.

I am not sure it is a bug or even directly linked to Ligthning Launcher.

I am pretty sure that a few weeks back I could create shortcuts which would directly launch the battery tracking screen from the android parameters (I remember it being included in some zooper widget from Gerd).

But yesterday when trying to do the same I couldn’t find it anymore, the best I can do is use the parameter app.

I installed Nova Launcher (cause I remember having this functionnality in Nova Launcher as well) and now I can create in LLX desktop a shortcut to the nova activity linked to the parameter apps (so this direct access should still exist somewhere as Nova can access it), but this doesn’t work with Zooper as if I link to the corresponding Nova activity it only launch the parameter apps and not the battery. (although it works if I create a shortcut in LLX homescreen).

I am a bit confused there

Humm, weird… just tested to create a zooper widget with ontap action launching a shortcut with nova activity+battery info and it goes to the battery screen, not the main settings screen. No idea sorry 🙁

Yes for the zooper issue apparently it was an update delay. It works fine now.

My point was more that I remembered (and I might be wrong) that in LLX without Nova, there was one or several “Parameter” line in Shortcut. This allowed to access different element of the parameter, including the battery screen. And I can’t find them anymore. In my meory I could do it without Nova before. (Although the Nova workaround works fine).

Yes through the usual “Add shortcut” action: there should be a “Settings shortcut” exposed by the settings apps that should let you reach the battery screen. Do you mean that it does not appear anymore in your list of available shortcuts ?

    Yes indeed

Could it be linked with a ROM update, or maybe the name of this shortcut has changed ?

I am using a non rooted galaxy note 3. So I am on a standard Samsung ROM (android 4.3). No system change between before and after. A few apps installed and a few LLX themed applied through apk and backup (all of them different version of Lutz Linke Hide & Seek theme.

Appart from that no issue detected. But it feels like my shortcut list is smaller (although setting is the only one I actually identified as missing)

Strange, this list is built by the system. Maybe a dumb question but… would a reboot help ?

Already tried. Although I had twice a crash on reboot after entering pin code. (Reboot after crash surprisingly didn’t asked for pin code)

Just retried and still it crash (quick display of the turn off turn on screen of Samsung, but too quick for an actual reboot) upon rebooting

Ok so more probably a Samsung change/bug. Anyone else with a note 3 to confirm?

I was thinking. Maybe there is also a part on LL side. How come Nova manage to get the link and LL dont otherwise

This is because Nova don’t use the system dialog, but has its own implementation instead (same for widgets by the way).
