How do you change the background color and transparency of a folder. No matter what I do it is always transparent black.

When you are in LL, long tap on the folder –> customize –> more –> box –> tap in the middle of the box (content) –> select your color below.

Hope this helped, I think you forgot to tap on “content” 🙂

That turns the box around the icons/widgets to a color but not the whole folder unless I am still missing something

Bob Chernow there is a similar options under “This folder’s window”. You need to open the folder first, then enter it’s setting screen. This is where you will find this menu.

That works some of the time. For some reason when I added a folder and the icon shows a folder icon and stays that way when I add items the background will not change. If I managed to add one and the icon changes to a grid with the first 4 items shown in miniature, the background setting wOrks fine.

Hummm… The folders icon not being updated and the window background color not updated neither is certainly due to the same root cause. Are you able to reproduce the problem reliably ?

I will try to come up with a scenario. It seems to be about 50/50. If it works it works great. But when it doesn’t, nothing will convince it to. Using note 2, jb 4.1.2.
