Regarding the navigation bar, then you should discuss with the developers of the ROM, I think they will be able to help you on this topic.
Regarding the widget resize problem, do you mean the layout won’t change, or that it is not possible to resize the widget area at all (or something else) ?

It’s only with this particular launcher on these ROMs – not with Nova, Apex or stock launcher. I don’t think the ROM’s Devs can help me. It’s only working for live wallpapaers, there is an issue with the wallpeper setter or Navbar/UI handler.
When I select the widget it won’t show the resizing arrows – but I can move the widget around.
