Boy is this weird.

Boy is this weird. I decided to give my drawer a try. I created many folders in my drawer by app category. I then put every app (over 700) into its category folder so that my drawer has just 15 folders with all the apps in them. I then created shortcuts to these folders on the desktop. All was fine, except now if I try to add multiple apps (more than 1) using the alphabetical app drawer, llx proceeds to take 15 seconds and I wind up with every app put on the desktop in the order they appear in the folders. Then I restore my backup cause it is better than trying to delete the app objects from the desktop. This is on the latest version.

Looking for confirmation that what I want can be done and maybe a snippet showing the actual call.

I want to take a folder or panel and reset the custom attributes of all objects. I am not talking about the position type of attributes. I want to reset all custom font, icon, box, etc properties so that they become unchecked in the gui and will then take on whatever gets set in the Items (customize, more) menus.

Problem with widgets in panels.

I have been having problems with several widgets either just not updating or even worse, changing to Cannot find widget message(don’t remember exact wording. Well I tracked it down to only happening to widgets inside panels. Either what, restarting Lightning fixes it for awhile. Very frustrating. They work fine if directly on the desktop.

Suggestion. Allow a gesture to trigger multiple actions.

Example: have folders on that open from different sides, let’s say right and left. Have one gesture open the right one and then the left one giving multiple sidebars. Similar to being able to close them. Or even have swipe right open right sidebar and close left sidebar, and vice versa.

Allow selection of multiple actions with an interface to reorder them.

Suggestion on loading templates.

Suggestion on loading templates. You should be warned when you load as template that uses more than one desktop. I think it will be neat to load other people’s templates into extra desktops without them wiping out my main desktop. Even with it creating a backup I still had to go and reconfigure all my widgets.

Templates should already load as additional desktops and not replace existing one’s. Then if I really like it I can manually remove desktops I no longer need. Otherwise I do not see me ever “trying” someone’s template. To much work.

What should I be concerned about porting my current ll configuration to a new phone. I have a note 2 and my wife is getting me a note 3 for my birthday. I assume I will have to recreate my widgets, but what about folders, desktops, etc.
