Didn’t want to all myself 😉 IMHO all entries have good ideas, but none really as-is is friendly enough for new users.
I’d say finally Pierre should team up with one or two “designers” to create a unique default template that is out-of- the-box usable, but still demonstrates LL’s features in an understandable way.

But I was interested to know what would be taken from that contest for his application default theme (either one of the themes, or only some ideas, or nothing)

My feeling is that I cannot use one of them out of the box but there is a great collections of ideas that need to surface somewhere. Probably this won’t be easy to sort them !

I don’t feel like there is a single theme here that matches the requirements. There are a lot of great themes with very good ideas, and what is needed is to merge them. I don’t think one can be used and other excluded.
I have been a bit overwhelmed these days and the latest version is still in beta state. I would really like to finish it before anything else. That partly explains my lack of reactivity regarding the contest. The other reason, to be honest, is that I find the task much more difficult than I initially thought.
