Having quite a few issues recently. Long pressing on items/text does nothing but on containers it shows the menu as expected. The panel with widgets still isn’t letting me have dual positions.

It would also be nice if the rearrange items feature supported items and containers of different sizes. I have a 1 column wide panel with items in that are separated by text headings. The items are 6 grid rows tall (40px per row) while the headings are only 2 rows. I’d also like to have a panel or custom view in there maybe around 10 rows tall.

Is it an issue with 12.4.1 that wasn’t there on 12.4? I believe I may have changed something that could explain the issue with unresponsive items. If so, do you know a way to reproduce it?

Regarding the dual position issue, I need to reproduce it too. Could you send me a template please?

Rearranging items with heterogeneous sizes is not really possible, at least not with some kind of exponential duration and some remaining gaps… One dimension at least need to be fixed. This is the exceptional case of a 1 column wide layout where all items fit a page and are aligned vertically, but this is far from being a generic use case and the algorithm is different.

Pierre Hébert not sure about specific versions but it was working in a previous version and it doesn’t in 12.4.1. I don’t really know how to reproduce it other than it just doesn’t work for me.

Pierre Hébert As for the resizing issue: I realize it would be near impossible to do for both directions without a complete rework of the position system (something like css3 flexbox for example). Currently it rescales the item to 1×1 (or at least positions them as if they were) which is pretty useless for anything other than an app draw or folder.

It would be nice if we had the option to enable it in one direction only. For example, if you enable the reordering vertically, the items keep their height but become 1 grid square wide. Then they can be positioned by putting one item in each column then moving on to the next row. It would work something like the way google+ does the grid view for posts.
