I have the Auto-edit option disabled, but whatever I try to add an app to the current desktop/panel, it’s going into edit mode.
I tried to check/uncheck the option, and just updated LL to last version, the issue is still there!

My workflow: add one item, finished.
When I sometime need to add more items I switch manually to edit mode and work.
Auto edit mode in fact is annoying for me.
I vote for keep (working) option in menu.

OK, that makes sense. I’ll rework the add item process so that it takes into account this setting, although entering edit mode will still be mandatory for some items (dynamic text, badge, custom view and icon)

yeah I use it too, so my parents don’t make a mess of the desktop, once all is organized.
