So I’m only reporting this because it’s now more than 6 times this has occurred: I edit my layout, create shortcuts, folders, move apps, etc (either on home screen or app drawer), and then after many changes to make it just right, Lightning Launcher frustratingly crashes and restarts to the setup that I had before I did any editing. I think it happens most often when an app is opened (usually accidentally by me) soon after edits have been made, though I could be wrong. This is a very time- and energy-consuming bug. Could these crashes please be fixed (or auto save changes to the launcher layout/preferences more often so crucial data and layout isn’t lost after every crash).
The layout reset after the crash goes back to before my first edit, even if it was 30 mins ago. I would hope that it auto save the layout much more often than that. Especially when it is edited.
I look forward to your thoughts on this crashing issue. Thank you.

Does it still have an option to send a crash report and if so did you send it?

Sending the report is the first step to fix the issue. (Two Jay M, lol)
To avoid losing data again make a shortcut to this script:
save()
(Yes, it’s a one-function script, but triggers the saving that usually happens when the launcher pauses)

Yeah I think it does have a button to report. I haven’t sent it though, I’ll do that if it happens again.
And thanks, that script will be really useful.
