Could it be that the app is launched from a widget?

    it’s fine here

just not working when launching a script : I’ve set close the folder at the end of the script and I’m very happy with that behaviour

No, I don’t use any widgets. I have a homescreen where I have put nothing but few folders for apps I use most often. And when I start any app from those folders, folder is still open when I return to homescreen.

It seems to be a classic use case. Could you check that the auto close is set at the folder level please ? Maybe it has been set at the desktop level but for some reason it hasn’t been herited by the folder.

Yes. That was the cause of the problem. I had to go and set it on every folder. And now it works. So, there’s some bug in the “main switch”.
