In v9.9.10

‘All Settings’ –> ‘Desktop Settings’ takes me to ‘All Apps’.

And it is not just a wrong header. It takes me to the ‘All Apps’ part.

Edit:

This is, when you enter it via ‘All Apps’.

It probably works like that for ages…

But it is (for me) not an uncommon way to get to launcher settings.

Edit: probably not new. It is, if you enter settings thru all apps.

How come it was renamed to all apps anyways what was wrong with app drawer or drawer or whatever it was.

Josh Gray how is this correct? When “All Apps” is one item down “Desktop Settings”?

IMO app Drawer or Drawer is perfect, and its probably what 99% of other launchers call it (Apex, nova, go, next, launcher pro) all do from what I can remember anyways, so I would think for quite a few people coming from other launchers to LL can be confusing. I remember when I got my bro to install it and one of the questions he asked was how to change the grid size in the app drawer. I’m assuming he asked that because it wasn’t obvious. Probably because he’s always used apex, and he was looking for a drawer option. I dunno but True Story.

Yes this is confusing. Previously it was working as expected, “Desktop settings” was linking to the last seen desktop, not the app drawer (which is itself a particular desktop, right). I don’t know when it was broken, but probably it’s a long time ago.

All apps could be renamed to App drawer, it makes sense. But what about the “All apps” icon, maybe it would be nicer this way too ?

Aye I agree all apps is different and I’m all in for a dev trying something different, but IMO its not a good idea to confuse new users, and app drawer or drawer is something everyone is familiar with. We all know LL is complicated if a new user can at least find some similarities with there current launcher there more likely to continue to explore and give it a chance, if there confused within 60 seconds of installing it well depending on the attention span of the person it could be uninstalled in 10 and a bad review left on Gplay, I mean i saw people give 1* reviews to great games and uninstall it just because of long loading times and a massive file size, yet the games Full HD and console quality. My point being some user expectations are just far to high especially when they have no knowledge of Android and its limitations and while a 1 or 2* review means nothing to us to the person who wrote the app im sure it means a lot especially when it could of easily been avoided.

Of course this is just my opinion lyk 🙂

BTW whats the all apps icon for? I tap it and it glows and doesn’t do anything else :/ im guessing its for “my drawer” because I never use that.
