All apps

Revert custom icons
?

TrianguloY yes, but thanks for your suggestion.

And what happen if you go to the settings of an item (with wrong icon), icon, select an icon, default icon ? Does it get fixed, or the same?

Wait! I could reproduce it.
These are the steps I made…now I can’t test again.
-go to all apps settings
-items
-(not sure if this will matter, but I checked/unchecked the enable reflection)
-then I swiped left to the preview…all were wrong.
Then I went back to the real app drawer (not the preview) all wrong

Those setting aren’t in app draw only add, hide and info options when item is long pressed….

Klyntone Bourserk true true.
However, if I repeat these steps:
In the all apps/item settings
-change something about the icon
-go to the preview mode
The icons change almost every time….can you reproduce this?

Hmmm. I’m seeing that some apps are not longer in my mobile phone. I’m using LLX, but I have LL to test, so I open it from time to time.
A lot of apps that I uninstalled are still there, and they had the Android default icon. Now with the icons swapped that items have icons…maybe that’s why the icons are wrong.
The worst of all…refresh don’t delete them. Pierre Hébert: this could be the issue. (the refresh icon is wrong)
Edit: in the all apps settings I pressed the ‘reset current desktop’.
Now I don’t have apps and the refresh button does nothing.

TrianguloY thanks for checking, I don’t have any of those green droid icons just mixed up icons.
Same thing happened to me when I reset app draw, no icons, refresh does nothing, restored a template after that app draw still empty, then I restored from recovery and have only labels showing, really want th icons back though.
Might look at buying LLX but don’t need all th extra stuff that comes with it but I guess I could set it up simple like ll.

I am looking at this currently, but I wasn’t able to reproduce it yet 🙁 However it looks straightforward, I must be missing some simple step, this is just a matter of time…

Pierre Hébert I can’t test now, but try to uninstall an app while the launcher is not in memory.
I mean
Force close, uninstall, open the app drawer.
Maybe you need to restart the device instead of just the launcher….question: how the app drawer know which app gets uninstalled? When android send the information?
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Yes, the app receives a notification for install, update or uninstall. If it is not running, it is launched (more precisely the component listening for notifications is activated)
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Ok, I was able to reproduce it through another way. Thanks for the hint, modifying the list of apps was the key.
IIRC the same bug already affected a previous beta version…

While trying to fix this on my install I someone made the app drawer empty :/
]]>
< ![CDATA[
yeah, if you reset current desktop in th app draw it become empty and th refresh button does not work, im sure Pierre in on to it.

i installed LLX and all was well with th app draw but i prefer th options in LL all, hidden and visible.
It migrated everything from my LL desktop so that was a good surprise, it worked well.
Even though i had set it as th launcher in android settings, home, it still prompted me with one of those popups where you can choose always, once i did that all my zooper widgets could not be found and they were no longer in zooper.
Going to restore from recovery again and update everything except LL.

download jellybean launcher loader its free and it works. that will force the device to accept the paid launcher as the default and it will eliminate that annoying popup. im guessing you are using 4.1

thanks for th tip Curtis Sylvester Jr. , but i have already gone back to a CWM backup, I’m running 4.4.2.
Pierre Hébert i have updated everything except LL so i am now on LL 9.3.b2 everything is working.
I have created a current back up so if you release a fix for th app draw issue i can easily test it and restore to my newest back up if need be with very little hassle.
