I have about half of my apps hidden. I have swipe up set to open All Apps which opens to Only Visible. After swiping to Only Hidden then to All Apps, scrolling is very slow. This is a problem I’ve noticed for a while. Using a Verizon Galaxy Nexus with CM11 Nightly. Lightning Launcher v9.3 Wheel (R1556).

Unfortunately everything linked to transparency is slow on any Android > 3.0… As visible hidden apps are draw with transparency, it will slow down rendering, but there is nothing I can do to improve the this, except remove the transparency.

Pierre Hébert this is a suggestion I’ve been thinking for, but never found a good place until now.
What about, the same as the padlock when pinned items, place a small closed eye at the corner?
My original idea was to put this small icons for other things as well (transparent items, locked items…)

That’s a good idea! (although the transparency is nicer IMHO). Regarding other items, it should be easy to add, the most difficult thing is to find a matching icon, which should not be too difficult in the android icon set.
