Thanks for the log, I just received it.

Incredible! The app crashes because your systems asks for a “huawei” permission (“huawei.android.permission.HW_SIGNATURE_OR_SYSTEM”).

This is however a standard Android intent that requires no permission. I have no idea why your ROM asks for this. How behaves other launchers?

I can provide a “plugin” to add this permission, although that’s pretty dumb.

I’ve used Hola launcher and Nova Launcher before and they didn’t give me any problem. It’s no big deal but I’d be glad for the workaround plugin if you could make one, thanks!

I hate to be a nuisance but I’d really love to be able to use shortcuts. I downloaded some templates and strangely enough the shortcuts they contain get added to desktop, however I am unable to edit them, i.e. I want to change the theme’s Phone shortcut to the phone app I use since I removed the stock app, but it won’t work.

I tap the phone shortcut and it says app not installed offers me to get it from play store or select manually or cancel, I select manually, on next click it’s the same. If I choose select from Play it opens google play page for the app I selected, so it knows I selected it but it won’t launch it on tapping.

I tried to edit the shortcut via LL edit mode, I tap the shortcut, Select app, select my dialer, exit LL edit mode and the behavior remains the same.

I’ve managed to work around this by removing the shortcut the template used and add app to the panel and select the same icon the shortcut used for it, but it gets tedious after a while.

If you could make a plugin that would provide the weird permission my phone asks for I’d be very grateful, thanks!

You are not a nuisance, but Huawei is.

I looked again at the requested permission. It cannot be granted to third party apps.

The only solution left is to copy the standard android picker source code and embed it into the app. This is stupid, will add weight to the app, need time and energy for nothing, but there is no other way.

I see, it’s ok then, don’t bloat your app because huawei put some weird stuff in their phone, i’ll use nova launcher on the huawei and LL on others.
