I don’t know if I should call it an bug or not.

I don’t know if I should call it an bug or not.

but, on my main screen I have an hidden status bar. which is set in the settings. and I can toggle it hidden or not.

on the bottom there’s a shortcut to slide in a folder. the x-y position is defined in the properties of the folder.

now on my main screen the position of that folder (opened) is unaffected by the visibility of the status bar visibility toggled on/of

I have the same folder on a different page. where the status bar was shown set in the settings.

now there the position of the folder does get affected because the status bar is shown.

the whole desktop shifts down.

There are two kinds of status bar visibility: permanent and transcient. When it is permanently visible, the space behind it can never be used, and as a consequence it is not taken into account in the space available for apps. When it is temporarily visible (or hidden!) the space behind may be used, and is allocated to the desktop. I don’t know if this explanation is an answer though ?
