LLX Lock Screen – screen turning off.

LLX Lock Screen – screen turning off.

Anyone had this issue since the last but one Beta release ?

I use LLX lock screen, and one in ten times, I press the power button or home button (S5) to look at the time on my lock screen. The screen comes on and immediately goes off.

I deleted the lock screen, created a new one with no widgets, just the unlocker, and it still does it.

I removed LLX completely, cleared phone cache, re-installed, same issue.

I remove LLX lock screen completely, and use the Samsung lock screens and everything works perfectly.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this ?

I’ve had that happen many times.

FIX : unplug your charger and let the battery run to about 80 then plug the charger back in

DETERMINED CAUSE : a short that occurred somewhere between the charger connector and the devices charger input connector.

HOW TO DETERMINE? I unplugged my charger and it immediately stopped turning my screen off. I only let it run on battery because 9/10 the second I unplugged the charger my battery went down to 98% and would not go back to 100 at all unless the device noticed this drop. on my device it doesnt realize it’s using battery until it gets below 94 but by the time I realize this its already at 80. no big deal just plug the charger back in and watch it start charging again.

But how come it only happens when using the llx lock screen, and works fine with the Samsung lock screen ? Surely the behaviour would be the same ?

in your case I have no clue. as far as the lockscreen it only happened once and I determined it was because I was trying to use secure settings to disengage the system pin lock so that way the llx lockscreen would be extremely secure. the idea was to use the system pin lock so not even the notification tray was accessible unless the llx lockscreen was unlocked and when I swipe the shortcut it uses system settings to clear the system lock and unlock my device. when I tried it had the behavior you’re having with yours. but then it started doing it on my homescreen also. but then I unplugged my charger and it stopped. plug the charger back in and its fine until it happens again. in all i found my charger had a bit too do with it

I think your situation is not the same. I do, however, use the system pin lock screen under the llx lock screen. I disabled this however the issue still is present.I have used the same lock screen since January, when the llx lock screen was released. The only variable here is the latest 2 beta versions of llx since it started to go wrong.

I’m hoping were on the same page because I don’t wanna hear that my device is causing the issue but I’m thinking you’re right and that’s what I was getting at.
